Are you tired of feeling in a constant battle with your body?

In just 6 short weeks you can feel more content and confident in your body and have an easier, more peaceful relationship with food.

Firstly, Welcome.

If you’ve arrived on this page, it’s likely you’ve been on your fair share of diets to try and lose weight and feel better about the way you look.

You’ve probably tried exercising, joined a gym, and maybe even hired a personal trainer.

You might have been tempted by slimming pills, fat binders or

appetite suppressants.

Each new thing you try in order to lose weight fills you with hope, and each new thing ultimately leaves you feeling deflated and like a failure. If this resonates with you, I hear you! I've been there too and you are defintely not alone.

Please know you are not the failure!

Rather than fulfilling the promise of long-term weight loss, each diet program, pill and potion has led you further into a vicious cycle of yo-yo dieting that’s both exhausting and ineffective.

Now even contemplating the thought of another diet fills you with dread (and probably makes you want to eat everything in sight).

You may have developed symptoms of disordered eating like:

- constant grazing,

- bingeing,

- purging,

- eating secretively,

- or obsessing over calories*.

If you’ve been caught up in diet culture for a long time (and let’s face it, how many of us haven’t?) you’re probably consumed with negative thoughts about how you look and what other people think of your appearance.

You might’ve stopped doing some of the things you enjoy because of your weight or shape, or you might be worried about your health.:

I get it.

I really get it.

It's painful.

You’re desperate to feel better about your body and be able to spend your time and energy thinking about the things that really matter to you rather than eating, or not eating.

You’re tired of having no self-esteem.

And you’re worried that if you don’t ‘do something’ about it soon, your health is going to suffer.

Or suffer more.

I've been there too

I’m a chartered Counselling Psychologist specialising in issues around eating and body image, and I’m dedicated to helping people make peace with their bodies and food.

I know what it’s like to struggle with how you look, and I know what it’s like to feel in a battle with food.

As a former fitness professional, I spent many years in a vicious spiral of dieting, overtraining and disordered eating.

I missed out on things that really mattered to me because I was overwhelmed with thoughts and feelings about how I looked and what other people thought of me.

Pic

And then I had a realisation:

Despite being one of the most well-known and influential fitness coaches in the UK...

...despite being a coach on the most famous weight loss TV show on Earth and featuring on every major UK channel...

...despite being consulted for all the major newspapers and magazines...

...representing the biggest corporations...

...and presenting at large conferences...

...I realised that in advocating for weight loss, I was part of the problem.

Pic

That's right:

I realised advocating for weight loss was actually harmful.

I was neck deep in the diet culture that oppressed me and the very people I was trying to help, a cultural problem that pushed us all down a

path of body hatred and disordered eating.

That realisation saw me totally change my business model as a fitness professional, as well as motivating me to pursue a career in psychology.

That's why I created The Liberated Body Project

I created it for people just like you (and me) who need to find a more sustainable, nurturing way of looking after their bodies (and minds!).

A more enjoyable way of eating that doesn’t detract from the people and things that matter most in your life.

A way out of the diet cycle that genuinely supports your health and heals your relationship with your body and food.

This evidence-based program works

It works because it reconnects you with - and gives voice to - the infinite wisdom that is your own body, the one that’s been silenced by diet culture for far too long.

It’ll teach you how to manage the painful thoughts and feelings that show up for you around your body, weight and shape, so that you can go ahead and be more like the person you really want to be. Living upapologetically in the body that you have right now.

And it works because it gives you the strategies to put food back in its rightful, enjoyable place, freeing you up to spend your precious time and energy on the people, work, self-care, hobbies and purposes that really make your world go round.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this course help me lose weight?

The aim of the Liberated Body Project is to enable you to reconnect with and feel more at peace with the body you have right now, as well as helping you to establish an easier, more flexible and enjoyable relationship with food. For some people this process results in their bodies naturally settling at a lower weight, for others their weight may stay the same, and for some it may increase.

The Liberated Body Project honours the principles of Health at Every Size (HAES) and intuitive eating, and is a weight-inclusive program, which means that weight loss is not the goal.

I’m a health or fitness professional and would like to use a weight-inclusive approach in my practice; is this program suitable for me?

Absolutely. The fitness industry needs more coaches like you and this program will provide you with tools and strategies to support your clients in a weight-inclusive way, as well as helping you explore your own relationship with your body and food.

How does this course differ from other courses?

For many people, their struggle with food and body image are not really about what they eat, or their knowledge about food, but rather how they think and feel. This is a psychology-based program, facilitated by a qualified counselling psychologist, that explores your relationship with your body and food using cognitive behavioural theory and arms you with the psychological techniques and strategies you’ll need to improve your body image, live more and diet less.

How much time do I need to commit to doing the course?

The course is 6 weeks long with new modules and assignments released each week to help you pace yourself through the program and to give you chance to work on each assignment. You will have access to the course material (including any updates) for a whole year.
